This week, North Korea announced a rare sign of cooperation with South Korea by agreeing to re-open the Kaesong Industrial Complex which had been temporarily closed after breakdown in earlier negotiations.
This follows escalated tension on the Korean peninsula since early December 2013 with provocations by North Korea in the form of nuclear testing to exercise its sovereignty.
Sadly, many issues of a humanitarian nature get lost in the politics of the matter. So many starving people, and families that remain divided since the armistice that was signed 60 years ago last month.
